PRDF’s 2015 Christmas Feast

The plans for our Christmas Feast on Dec. 10, 2015, at Golden Corral in Punta Gorda are under way.

The cost will be $15 per person, payable in advance to PRDF by check or PayPal, which will give you access to Golden Corral’s entire buffet selection, including dessert. Golden Corral is located at 1451 Tamiami Trail, Punta Gorda, FL 33950.

Along with dinner we will have our December Membership Meeting and the annual $10 grab bag gift exchange.

We must have a head count and payment prior to the event. Please RSVP to Barbara Arthur-Devlin at gdevlin2@comcast.net by Nov. 12.

The payment options are as follows:

  • Bring your check made payable to PRDF to the 11/12/14 meeting. (Don’t forget to bring your check for the 2016 membership as well)

PRDF Membership Meeting Thursday, Nov. 12

Don’t miss the next PRDF membership meeting on Thursday, Nov. 12, at 7pm at the Veterans’ Home in Port Charlotte.

At this meeting, the Nominating Committee will present the slate of nominations for Officers and Directors for 2016. Additional nominations can be made from the floor at the December meeting.

The meeting will start at 7pm. The Vets’ Home is at 21281 Grayton Terrace, Port Charlotte 33954.

The next PRDF general membership meeting will be held on Thursday, Oct. 8, at the Vets’ Home in Port Charlotte. Our special guest speaker will be Mike Hadsell of Peace River K9 Search & Rescue.

There will be a demonstration outside on the lawn at 6:30 PM sharp to utilize the available daylight after which Mike Hadsell will speak inside on the lanai.

Your family, children, and dog-loving friends are invited to attend the demonstration and speaking engagement, after which there will be a short club meeting.

Please do not bring pets to this meeting.

There will be light snacks members are bringing to share and PRDF will provide the soft drinks.

Members, if you can, please bring a light snack for about 4-6 people and that should provide plenty for everyone. PRDF will supply light beverages.

If there is PRDF business you wish addressed at this meeting, please advise a board member in advance so that your topic may be placed on the agenda. Thank you.

Upcoming Obedience Classes Sept. 9 and Jan. 6

Registration is now open for obedience classes for the six-week session from Sept. 9 through October 14, 2015, on Wednesdays at the South County Regional Park in Punta Gorda. Register now to ensure your spot in class.

We are also booking for the six-week session that runs Jan. 6 through Feb. 10, 2016.

Upcoming membership meetings are on the second Thursday of the month: Oct. 8, Nov. 12, and Dec. 10. PRDF’s annual meeting will be on Jan. 14, 2016.

Below are classes scheduled so far for the September session. Additional classes may be scheduled depending upon demand.
